We get it! Setting aside time to attend an event isn’t always easy. But, prioritizing your personal development and calling in the cavalry so that you can take this time for yourself, is important. We know you are worth it!
If you want to attend Evolve from your sofa, there’s a virtual option just for you! But, if you want to gather with other spouses in the DC area, and view the workshop together, we’ve got you covered. Think of it like a watch party, where both the virtual and in-person attendees experience the same content, but build community with local spouses.
All speaker presentations are virtual and live, but highly interactive with elements of reflection and discussion.
Our virtual workshop platform supports a unique & interactive experience. This is definitely not your average zoom.
We want you to feel seen and heard. Opportunities for small group conversations and speaker-led discussions will give you a chance to see yourself in and build community with other seasoned spouses.
Grab your ticket before April 1st and receive a printed and bound copy of our event workbook. This will allow you to participate in workshop reflections and capture your learnings.
This incredible collection of talented speakers can’t wait to pour into you during Evolve weekend.
All of our speakers are either current or former military spouses or military children. They’ve been there and they get it.
The Evolve Retreat is a one or two day event, it’s up to you. Choose the ticket that fits your schedule and your budget.
Saturday, let our four amazing military-connected experts propel your growth journey forward.
Sunday, back by popular demand, is a CliftonStrengths workshop. Using the CliftonStrenghs tool, this workshop will give you the language to confidently step into your life, clear on your superpowers and how you’re showing up for yourself and others. Sunday’s workshop will be recorded for two day ticket holders unable to attend.
Already have your CliftonStrengths report but want to attend to learn more? Email jen@prideandgrit.com for discounted pricing.

Knowing where you want to go is often rooted in a solid understanding of where you’ve been. What was the blueprint, or map, you came into military life with? What layers of life have been added to your original blueprint – career pivots, expectations, roles, stories, burnout. Join Dr. Patrice Carter as she empowers you to have those honest conversations with yourself and others that help you peel back or adjust the layers keep you from stepping into the best version of yourself.
As a seasoned spouse, chances are you’ve experienced burnout once or twice (or too many times to count). Burnout can look different for everyone who experiences it, and its quiet impact can sneak up on you. Join industry expert in self-awareness and leaning into hard conversations, Jenn Whitmer, who will share tools to help you keep burnout from getting in the way of showing up for yourself.
Military life’s personal and professional reinvention can result in a lost connection between you and your dreams. Whether you’re defining new goals after military life or working to recapture (or reinvent) the ones you pushed aside, join Tammy Meyer as she provides a life cycle perspective of your identity journey. How did you get here? What does the path back to you look like? This workshop will provide the tools and conversations to help you jump-start your outcomes.
Whether it’s about military life, your career path, your dreams, or even your identity – stories can be at the heart of remaining stuck or moving forward. Leah Brown, a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator of Brené Brown’s Dare To Lead™ curriculum, will help you evaluate whether your stories are leading you or limiting you. And provide some tools for taking control of your journey through your stories.
Focusing on our strengths can be a powerful tool in our identity journey. Identifying your talents or strengths is an important first step. Using that information is how we impact our journey.
Join Jen as she walks you through your CliftonStrengths® report, explains how your talents and strengths may be showing up in everyday life. Together, you’ll explore, in community with other seasoned spouses, how you can learn to align your life to the parts of yourself that bring you the most joy.
This workshop is dependent on the completion of Gallup’s CliftonStrengths® assessment tool. If you have taken the assessment before, please reach out to events@prideandgrit.com for special pricing.
You’re a battle-tested seasoned military spouse, but you’re more than that.
You’re at a point in life when your curiosity about your future, values, and growth is top of mind.
You want to tap into your potential, own your identity, and align your future to your values.
You need a guide, and maybe a cheerleader, as you peel back the layers of who you are and what you want.
As a seasoned military spouse you’ve seen the benefit of community. But, you struggle to find others that understand the season you are in.
You appreciate hearing others’ struggles, because you know you’ll see yourself in their challenges and in their solutions.
You enjoy sharing what you’ve learned, knowing you don’t have all the answers, but you do have experiences all your own.
Military life has made waiting your superpower. But, so is taking action.
Investing in others is easy, investing in yourself is harder. But, you know it’s what you need.
You are ready to write a new chapter, whether at the next duty station, on the journey to retirement, or just in daily life.
You believe that showing up for yourself is an important next step in your life.

While we’d never prevent a new spouse from attending, the discussions and learnings will resonate most with those living in their final season of military life – whether that is 2 months or 5 years. It’s an event dedicated to seasoned military spouses. If you’re not at least a little weathered, this probably isn’t the event for you.
Remo is best viewed from a computer. Chrome is the preferred browser. During the small group portion of the retreat, you will have the opportunity to be in a mini-video conference with those at your “table.” To get the most out of this portion, having a web camera available is recommended but not required. If necessary, you can join the conversation on audio-only, though we highly encourage you to attend with video.
The content from Day One is not recorded. We know recorded sessions provide some flexibility that live sessions do not. But, we also know that getting the most out of the event and evolving together means attending live, connecting with others, and contributing to the conversations we know will be impactful. The content from Day Two will be recorded and made available after the event for two weeks.
There will be four presenters on day one and one presenter on day two. The entire event will be produced via Remo, our virtual event platform. If interested, you can opt to attend Saturday’s event in person at our Tyson’s Corner, VA location.
This year’s event will have both virtual and in-person options.
On Saturday, April 30th, there is an option to attend virtually or gather with other spouses at our Tyson’s Corner, VA location to view the event. This in-person option allows you to build community in-person. All speakers will present virtually.
On Sunday, the workshop will be 100% virtual for all participants.
Select the ticket that corresponds to your preference.
For those attending Evolve 2022 via the in-person option, being able to connect with those in the conference room will be a unique experience. While the speakers will present virtually, in person attendees will watch the presentations together and then have an opportunity to discuss the content. Think of it like a “watch party” but with attendee participation and engagement with the speaker.
Yes. To protect the opportunity for networking and event integrity, the event cap is 150. Our in-person venue can accommodate 50 people. Once we hit the 50 cap, the in-person option will be removed from the website.
Friend, that is up to you. We feel strongly that knowing your bottom 5 can have as significant an impact on your life as knowing the top 5, so we’d love you to join us and do the full 34 assessment, included with your ticket. That alone usually costs $49.99. Just sayin’
